yeah, i'm not really one to hire movers either. my dad offered to pay for it, and i just don't want to move down the stairs. last time i moved, it was from the 3rd floor of one building to the 3rd floor of another building. ones of the reasons i bought a house without stairs.

moving. fucking. sucks.
trying to get a couch and a love seat down from a second story condo and then up three floors to my girl's apartment was not fun.
had to take the sliding glass door off at the condo and drop the couch off the balcony. this was after about an hour of trying to maneuver it out the front door, but it just wouldn't fit. i had to stand on a picnic table and practically catch the couch and then wait for my dad to run down to help me lower it. we then just threw it on the ground.

back in college, i had to move out by myself cuz i was the last one to leave the apartment... so at like 2-3am, my gf (at the time) and i just moved the big dumpster near the balcony and just tossed my mattress and anything else over the railing

luckily i don't have any furniture to move when i every year / semester for school.
i brought like half of my shit home last week. gonna move out of this place by the end of next week.
