Damn bro. I'm glad you are ok. It's scary how accidents really do happen. I hope you feel 100% again soon, and the best thing that can come from this is you might save someone else's life too!

It really was 91.2. I triple checked it because I didn't believe it myself.

That is one awesome respirator Lee. Where can I get? Probably costs more than my welding rig.

holy crap!

well i'm glad your alright. I think even if you just got some ventilation in that tiny shack you call a garage, then you'd probly be ok. Just get a fan goin out the back to simulate a blow through booth. That will pull those fumes out of there.

u can't die on kaboose now.. he'll claw your nuts off!

that's nuts. i'd definitely get to a doctor if i were you. it sounds like your body worked out all of the crap but i'd want to be sure i wasn't left with kidney damage or anything, or that there isn't anything still sitting in my system.

i actually would have paid a visit to the ER back on saturday. :x

crazy.

my buddies setup was 3500, but his is like super big dick setup. You can get resperated helmets for around 1500 and up from what I remember. Still not cheap by any means :happysad:

Oh awesome. I just found one on ebay for $1000 in England. The whole product line is pretty awesome, but I might just be forced to plug in a fan and open the garage door for now. At least until I can pony up the cash for a helmet like that. That's steep for a hobbyist welder... Hell I've got less than twice that tied up in the Colt at this point. If I was a welder by trade, I'd sell a body part to have that thing... but I make more money fixing Macs so I can't justify it like that either.

Hmmm....

Perhaps I should settle on something like this...

or for under $20... this...

I still envy all who can afford an Optrel.
