The original plan was to have my gf's brother and his family over and my sister and bro in law. But it's probably just going to be me and jasmine since me and my sister are no longer on speaking terms and jasmine's brother is going over his cousins.

We are the center of attraction for Thanksgiving, the in laws come here for the feast. We expect 12-16 this time, the numbers are thinning out as some of the young ones go their separate ways.

We only get an 11-12 pound bird and I also serve about a 7 pound ham.
On the menu
The bird, of course
Bread stuffing naturally...
Ham
Pecan and Mushroom Rice Dressing
5 pounds of mashed potatoes (potatoes, half&half, sour cream & butter all blended together)
Gravy
Baked squash
Baked Corn
Broccoli
Cranberry sauce
Breads
Relishes (dill & sweet pickles)
Pita Chips and Hummus
Pumpkin and Apple Pies

BTW we start cooking some stuff tomorrow...

For thanksgiving I'm going to my brother's in-laws' place in Estes Park for the gorge. Not really looking forward to it, but it should be alright. Then friday, I may take the day off and finish up some work on the civic, Friday night = leftovers pot-luck at Mohammed's house.

Not spending it with the parents? But they live so close...closer than Estes Park.

Was invited over to a friends house. Were having cornish game hen (upon wiki review, i figured out it's little chickens) and ham.

Should be fun, they like to drink.
