passport failure?

Default passport failure?

this morning i dropped my wd passport about 3 feet off the couch onto the carpet
i plugged it in and i got "one of the usb devices attached to
this computer has malfunctioned"
it says the same thing when i plug it into my laptop

be careful with your external hdds, folks

Open up the case, inspect the HDD...you might have just rocked a connection lose inside.

i dropped an external drive at work my first week here. way to impress the crew, paolo. i've been pretty careful since.

the power cable got snagged on the arm rest of my office chair. when i went to slide across the room...boom+bounces=fail

I would be surprised if that short of a drop damaged the hard drive so badly it couldn't work. Probably just a lose connection.

yeah, if that hd is fucked from that, i'd be raising hell.
