240sx - Nissan OEM oil filter, 4qts of Quaker State conventional

DC4 - Honda OEM oil filter (small one), 4qts of Quaker State conventional

In the past (for the KA24DE and B18B1), I've used High Mileage variants from Valvoline and Castrol, and conventional ones from the same two brands.

I didnt see any drops in oil consumption for the high mileage variants, or any increases in mileage etc.

However, the reason why I go with Quaker now, is that I've seen a significant difference in consumption, plus it was the oil I had analyzed in the 240sx, and it was found that I can go 5000 miles at least between oil changes.

I just changed the oil in both cars, so I'm going to be sending out samples for analysis to see how they fared.

 

Honda filter and Honda oil, that's all I need.

 

Just tried Castrol Syntec Full Synthetic and yeah not much of a fan, making me idle rougher than when I was using Mobil 1. Might try Royal Purple or Amsoil if I can get a good price.

the other day a saturn rolled up with 4 people in the car saying "DAMN thats a NICE TYPE R!"

I was shocked and was like "Its not a Type R..." then the light turned green and I waved and drove away. that was weird.
