had a dream i was cooking two open cans of red bull in my parent's oven last night. i went to check on them, one fell over and then the door fell off. i got it back on there, but the oven wouldn't work anymore h:

Usually you can put the door back on depending on what "broke". The latches that it connects to the oven have some pretty tough springs on them. But if you can bend them back and slip the latches back into the slots on the front of the oven it should click right back into place. I've had it happen twice at my old condo.

it still produces heat. a toaster works.. those don't have a top.

There's a difference from being < 1" from the heating source and being a foot away from the heating source.

It will work, but it's not worth it.
