Oh for sure. Walking... or riding.. in another's shoes is awesome experience in any situation. I guess I was just picturing some punk ass just going up to a race in a wheel chair for shits and giggles, which is in bad taste, me thinks.
oh absolutely, that would warrant a beatdown. but somebody who legitimately trained to compete, i dont think that would be the worst thing ever...
of course if the guy won, and then jumped out of his chair at the finish line and celebrated, he would make the list for biggest d-bags ever.
i kind of thought that too... but i think also that if somebody were to do it, the training and the race itself would likely give them a new respect for what wheelchair-bound people have to go through each day...
There was an episode of 30 days where this basketball player was in a wheelchair for 30 days, dude was shown balling...

fuck that, no offense, but I have a friend who does wheel chair racing and he would kick my ass...his arms are JACKED and his chair is like titanium super light weight. He does like the equivalent to marathons in his chair and kicks ass. I couldn't even imagine trying to keep up.
