Asus P6T motherboard with Intel's new X58 chipset, CPU 3.79GHz Intel Core i7-965 Extreme Edition (overclocked), Memory 12GB 1,066MHz DDR3 SDRAM, (2) 1GB Nvidia GeForce 9800 GX2, Hard drives 1TB 7,200rpm Hitachi hard drive + 80GB Intel X-25M solid state drive, Optical drive 20x dual-layer DVD burner with LightScribe + 4x dual-layer Blu-ray burner, Operating system Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 64-bit + Mandrake 10.1.

Now I need the price to go down at least 90% from $8k lol

looking to build a hot pc but the new intel cpu are freaking expensive.

my 45nm Q9450 (2.7GHz, 4 cores) was $300 on launch day back in March.


I have no idea what you'll be doing with that Extreme processor, but know that it'll be an overkill.

Hope you enjoy those $28 blu-ray blanks.
