Default Well one good thing came out of this election

Now take this in the spirit it is meant...it is not meant as a bigoted comment so don't even start that argument.

Now that America has elected a "black" president (I use that term loosely in Obamas case) it now creates an interesting issue for people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton (who have been amazingly quiet lately). Since we have obama in office they will no longer be able to use the excuse that the "white man is keeping them down". This means that there has to be an amazing turnaround in regards to prison population and overall crime statistics as it relates to race.

Now if in 4 years (possibly 8) this does not turn around then Sharpton and Jackson will be out of jobs.

is this a fair assessment of the situation?

Doubtful but it's nice to think that way. No matter what, "they" will always use reverse discrimination as a way to attempt to get by at the hand of the very person who they despise so much.
