Then i might have the answer for you. I present to you, Wester Digitals new toy.
Western Digital - WD TV HD Media Player

What this puppy does is, it allows you to play MPEG 1/2/4, WMV9, AVI (MPEG4,Xvid, AVC), H.264, MKV, MOV (MPEG4, H264), JPEG, GIF, TIFF, BMP, PNG
MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV/PCM/LPCM, AAC, FLAC, Dolby Digital, AIF/AIFF, MKA files all off of a External USB Drive. It has HDMI and Component output.
This is great for people with rips and would like to watch them on another TV but don't want to buy another HTPC.
I'll be picking one up at the end of the week for the bedroom. High-Def pron here i come( :chuckles: )

This is great because all my High Def content i can watch up to 1080p rips and it plays with no problem i hear. They say some 1080p's might have problems but for the most part, all 720p rips work with no problem. So now me and the misses can sit back and watch movies in the bedroom without having to hook out laptops up to the TV or me building a 2nd HTPC.
