FireFox Image Overlay Issue?

FireFox Image Overlay Issue?
Ever since I have upgraded to FF3 I have had an odd problem.
If I have multiple tabs open, and go to a thread that is graphic intensive or has a large animation, I get this odd image overlay.
Basically, I can switch between tabs and see the same screen that all the images were on, but when I hover over it and hit a link that is actually on the page, whatever I hovered will show up.
Does that even make sense? I've taken screenshots, but it does not show up.
I'm beginning to wonder if it's even the browser.
Any ideas?

Oddly, it stopped happening after I switched to FF 3.x or its derivatives.
