Depends on the fan, but since my PC has like 5 fans, I don't really notice it anymore or less than without all of that. Keeps shit real cool though since before this my Q6600 was running 10 degrees C hotter.
i have the scythe 120mm fan and it's very quiet. which is pretty much the same for all ball bearing 120mm fans. it's the small tiny fans that need to go up to 5000rpm that are super noisy. during idle i barely hear my PS fan (never hear the cpu heatsinks fan) and when i'm playing 3d intensive games (cod4) then the only thing i hear it the freaking fan on the 8800GT, but since then I've used the tuning tool to only run 75% instead of full 100%.

I built the machine with the Zalman (because I already purchased it). So far my temps are steady @ 34. This is while running STALKER (came with the mobo).
I also wanted to add that the case is not superb. The gfx card is massive (Im used to the 6800's) and its flush against my hard-drive enclosures. My NB/SB temps are around 55ish but I'm thinking thats because my gfx card hovers right over those sensors.
Oh yeah, I had to remove the top fan so the PSU could fit.
