I rode a Ducati 1098 this weekend
Brakes are incredibly touchy. You can't just grab a handful of brake. The clutch was already shot on mine, so I can't really give any input on that. I already stalled it once, haha. The bike hates low speed tight turns. Ergos aren't as bad as people say...but that's subjective. The heat coming off the exhaust gets annoying though, unlike on my old 636 where I couldn't feel a damn thing. My calves were getting uncomfortably hot.
V-twins fucking rule. Now I see why everyone digs them. Flat torque curves are winning hard right now. Despite being a literbike with torque everywhere, it's way more manageable. Unlike (let's say) the GSX-R1000, where the peaky torque is just annoying.
Great, now I'm looking at SVs again, haha.
edit: SVs are so ugly though...darn. Well when I have a garaga again...
P.S. I still have a boner.
