Default my day from hell

So driving around today my car just decided to die. We pushed it into a shopping plaza and started to take it apart, come to find out that the timing belt was done. it was 1/2 the size of a normal timing belt and was missing 12 teeth. the reason for that was the motor mount bolts were snapped off and were stuck in the timing belt cover on the bottom. one fell threw a while ago and the other one was stuck between the belt and the cover melted in the plastic. needless to say we got the car up and running again after fighting with the crank. i got pictures also

apparently the owner from before had it serviced and the mechanic snapped the bolts, and in order to replace it i would have to take the motor out. but if thats the case, i'll just put the new motor i have in. and the other part i need to replace all of the other motor mounts as well.

awesome pictures!

the timing chain broke on my first cavalier. it was under a 90 day warrenty from the guy we bought it from though. he wasn't happy :chuckles:

the accord i just got from my parents has a new transmission and had the timing belt replaced, so hopefully i'll be good for a while.
