Default New tire suggestions?

sorry for another "suggestion" thread, but my parents are going to put new tires on the car as an early Christmas gift (i need new ones anyway). I'm looking for something all season, with a decent wet grip - low road noise and a soft ride would be nice.

Any suggestions are welcome, currently browsing tirerack.com

Budget set around $100 per tire, the less the better

205/60/15

Currently have Ziex on the rear and Grand Am on the front... mmmkay.

Not sure if this link works: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compar...S&startIndex=0

looking at:

Goodyear Assurance $82/per w/ $20 MIR
Goodyear Assured Tripletred $98/per w/ $40 MIR
Goodyear Eagle ResponsEdge $81/per w/ $40 MIR

Speed rating: R
Tread life: 65-80k

It's looking like the Tripletreds are my best bet: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Assurance+Tr ipleTred&vehicleSearch=true&partnum=06HR5ATT&fromC ompare1=yes&speed_rating=H&speed_rating=V&speed_ra ting=W&speed_rating=Y&speed_rating=Z&speed_rating= (Y)&speed_rating=H&speed_rating=V&speed_rating=W&s peed_rating=Y&speed_rating=Z&speed_rating=(Y)

Though, the ResponsEdge would be a little bit less expensive and the ratings aren't very much less..

For a wet-weather intermediate tire, my vote goes to the BF Goodrich gForce Sport or its predecessor, the gForce Traction Z. I use the Traction Z tires, sized 205/55R16. It's been 10,000 miles now and I'm very happy with them.

They offer the gForce Sport, which is the newer tire in your size; Tire Rack lists it for $68 each.

I'd look into Michelin Energy MXV4 S8. Great all season tire with no road noise and good wet and dry traction. These tires are the preferred tires for Lexus vehicles. I saw them for about 106 for your size.

I run the latter in a 205/55R16 size; it's been 10,000 miles and I'm very happy with them.

Awesome suggestion, much appreciated! How is the road noise with these?

Thank you, I will check these out as well! Road noise is a huge factor in my decision

If you like Falken's, I put a set of Sincera's on my previous car before I sold it. They were great for road noise reduction and the wet and dry traction was pretty good. I didn't get a chance to test them in the snow though, they're also cheap as shit.

On cast concrete, they're still a little noisy...but no worse than average.
On well-maintained asphalt, they're remarkably quiet.

Compared to the marginal Nitto NT-series tires I had earlier, the BFG tires seem to stay quieter as they wear.
The last 1,000 miles on the Nittos were deafening by comparison.

My favorite's that i've owned so far were my Dunlop sp Sport 9000's, but they are a little pricey.
