Whats up guys. So I need some help and I know alot of you guys are tech savvy so here goes.

I'm having trouble getting my laptop movies to play sound through the tv when hooked up through HDMI. The picture comes out perfect but the sound is still being played through my laptop speakers. When I go down to the speaker option in the toolbar it shows the HDMI playback option available but I dont see an option where I can enable it. It also shows as not being plugged in. If I leave the HDMI plugged in and restart my laptop then it enables the HDMI playback and will play through the tv speakers. I just want a way to get it to play through the tv speakers without having to restart the computer.

Also when trying to get this to work I disabled my laptop speakers wondering if that would allow me to enable the HDMI playback
Now it wont play any sound through my laptop. How do I get my normal audio back?

dont remember the path by heart, but go to control panel.... sound... and you should be able to switch the default sound card.

Yea its Vista. I triedgoing that route but it wont let me manually switch it. It switches by itself but only if I restart the computer with hdmi plugged in
