That all really depends. I don't know how that will affect you passing smog, if it will even happen at all. If you don't care about that, I would say go for it. It seems you know what needs to be done, so do whatever it takes to do it. In all seriousness, it would probably run better with the proper ECU than a chipped P28 with some bin file I dug up from who knows where.
