Well, I guess my outlook and beliefs are a little different than yours.
You don't have to get hammered to have a good time.
I am getting married in less than a year and we are budgeting for 2k with everything, including a reception for 100 people or so.
Good thing to know people who owe you favors.
Thats where we messed up. We didnt set a budget but, one word of advice. DO NOT include useless crap.
We spent 95.00+ tax on these pumpkins which will be the center pieces of the table. Looks really really nice too. We had to get 13 of them which will end up going into the trash after the wedding.
That I wasnt in favor for but, the Mrs. thought it'll be a cool idea to go with an Oct/Fall theme.
