Default Laptop people

a buddy of mine is looking for a new laptop. the thing is he absolutly wants a Toshiba. He need the lightest possible.


i can figure out which would be best but if the laptop come with Vista is it possible to just buy XP and install it instead?

i'm on nicole's hp pavilion dv6000, the screen goes black and you have to fuck with the screen to get it to come back on. the cd-rom also ejects randomly.

it's annoying.

If I remember correctly, Toshibas are not light. My dad has a satellite and it's got some weight to it. h:

i had a toshiba sateliite, it was a pos
reformat after 1 year
reformat at 2 years
screen hinges broke at 2 years
completely crapped out at 2.5 years
never toshiba ever again, even my gf's old gateway has lasted better and it was $300 less than the toshiba and bought at the same time

I had a toshiba, my sister had a toshiba, a few of my friends had a toshiba. We have all sworn them off because they're complete shit.

Damnit... there is no flexibility about Toshiba. can anyone tell me if its possible to make a Vista pre packed PC run XP instead?

I just downgraded a toshipa A300 to XP... it was a BITCH cus the XP CD does not have the Raid drivers on it. I had to rip an XP image onto my machine and slip the drivers onto it. then reburn it and use it. So enjoy doin that.

If I remember correctly Toshiba's are one of the biggest pieces of shit EVAR!

It's what I use at work and the thing is loud, HDD creaks, system is slow, loaded with Toshiba shit that you CAN"T get rid of.
