i use ubuntu on my 2nd computer. its easy to use has LOTS of mods.

 

Fedora is a little annoying I'd use openSUSE over it anyday...

Ubuntu suggests using XUbuntu (with Xfce) for lower power systems, I'd try going that way.

 

Xubuntu is better anyway.

 

ok, I have Ubuntu all up and running. I have put a few of the suggested programs on (Wine and VLC). It came with a few already (pidgeon, gimp, firefox). I am thinking about Amarok. But I really don't know how much I will be listening to music on this thing.

I use mine to d/l stuff and burn on dvd when completed.. i also use it to run a ventrillo server every now and then. Tried to make it host a website, but its too much hassle/work.
