Default wireless/interwebs gurus

is there any way to connect one computer via a wireless cell card (evdo,3g,etc) and then run a ethernet (crossover?) to a second computer ot have them share the connection? I'm thinking maybe connection sharing? i've never done this and i need to figure out how to do it by saturday :noes:

Yes, I believe they call that tethering.

Edit: Snaps, I thought you were talking about 1 PC but if you can make one PC act as a routing device I suppose that would work

yup, I used my Sprint EVDO Rev-A card and shared it with my buddy while we were on our way to Cali via Cat-5 cable.

you just have to make the connection a sharable connection. I also used it to run my xbox360 LIVE for 2 days before I got internet at my old apartment

bridge the wireless connection w/ the LAN connection?

i suppose i could test this with wlan on one computer and disable the wlan on the other and run a cord.

yeah, i was going to say tethering would be using the internet on my phone and hooking the phoen to the pc

i'm tkaing about getting a wireless pc card (see fig 1) and then connecting a second via a wire.

idk...I used to use my Laptop (while getting internet through wireless router) and plug my 360 into the laptop's ethernet port. That would give my 360 internet access for playing on Xbox Live
