retards. Although I understand that it's not the best time as they are in the red, it provides an opportunity for ford to shine. Everyone has a monster Prius boner with it's ~48mpg rating... a practical, reasonably affordable vehicle getting 65mpg would probably sell like hotcakes.

Diesel is more expensive? are you fucking kidding me? sure, on a per gallon basis, but surely not per mile. the gas version of the focus gets 35mpg. according to the national averages, diesel is $.24/gallon more, for nearly double the efficiency. i'll take two.

we need to get america off the "diesel = loud, smoky, polluting, primitive technology" funk.

(all subjective, I understand Ford [hopefully] has tons of data regarding this issue)

Of course we aren't getting it, fuel efficiency is too great and US oil would suffer...
