Bare with me, HAN. I used to de-solder clock chips on IIsi and IIci's Macs and install an upgraded clock chip to get them to 24mhz. For those that know, yeah... big boost for the times. I ran a booth at MacWorld. o:

Now............Can someone explain CPU and GPU? I had BUS speed explained to me in a very cool way. My Apple G4 400mhz had a 100mhz bus speed. I was taught that it meant, basically, "take 100 people on a bus, 400 miles an hour". Processor upgrades are lame because the bus is still limited to the speed on the logic board.

In terms of this video, GPU > CPU far greater than I really understand. Can someone throw it in terms I might understand?

if i'm getting it correctly a CPU computes a point & then plots it...then does the next one, etc.....

a GPU computes & plots muliple points simultaneously, therefore resulting in not only faster speed but better definition

:dunno:
