There was another time when she was 5. Popped her forehead and blood was streaming down her face. If her mother wasn't already freaking out, I might have. I just knew that someone had to stay calm. The kid was reading both of our faces trying to see how SHE should be reacting.

Yup. And if I told her the consequence of certain actions "might get you hurt", I was less inclined to console her if she did in-fact, get hurt. I just turned into a non-emotional Medic. lol But on the other hand if shit just went down that wasn't her "fault", I did my best to be sweet and cool about it at the same time. o:
