So I guess I gotta pay it forward.
An interesting thing happened to me last night. I took Mel, her sister and the baby to Macaroni Grill last night for dinner. We order our food and a few drinks and have a mostly decent dinner. The baby was being a bit fussy but what are you gonna do, she's just a baby right? So we finish our meal and the waitress comes by and says "Is there anything else we can get you tonight?" and I'm like "No thanks, we're all set." and she goes "Ok then, you may leave whenever you're ready, your bill is all taken care of."
So we all look at each other like "Huh?" The waitress says "Yeah, there was a couple of folks that saw your baby as they were leaving and said she reminded them of thier baby when they had one and wanted to pay your bill for you." I was like "Oh my God that is so generous. Did they leave a name or anything? I want to at least thank them." and she said they wished to remain anonymous.
Then I was like "Well I want to at least leave you a tip." and she was like "That won't be necessary. They left far more than your total bill. Have a good night."
Meleny was like "Wow, I am almost in tears, you rarely even hear about that kind of selflessness, much less experience it." Yeah so, we're going to pay it forward somehow.

That's what we were saying. It's like sometimes I do good things for people and they just take it for granted and each time that happens I lose a little bit of my faith in people. But this reinforces the notion that there are good people out there that do selfless things.

I found these 3 dogs on the side of the road and tracked down the owner and brought them back and they were barely even grateful. :ugh:
