Welcome to McCain picking Palin PURELY for playing political poker. McCain shows that he isn't to keen with her during any public appearances. He picked her for:

Her hottness (Pull in the young crowd)
Her (Pull in the Hillary crowd)
Her 5 kids (Shows family ties)
Her Boobs (Pull in the lonely fat crowd)
Her Down syndrome kids (Pull in the families with disabilities)
Her State (LARGE connection with oil)
Her attractive husband (Pull in the female votes)

So McCain is playing PURE political poker here and nothing else.

So then why did Obama pick Biden? Surely it wasn't for the same reason. Come to think of it...isn't that why EVERY VP is chosen?

 

Biden isn't attractive, doesn't have a kid with down syndrome, doesn't have boobs, doesn't come from a state driven by oil income.

 

But he's an asshole, and they're using him to play political poker by going after McCain and Palin, so Obama doesn't have to be the bad guy. Same thing. If you want to look at it in your terms, Obama is the Palin of the democratic ticket...the good looking candidate with the nice family.
