I was just talking to Lawrence, and got thinking about the football season and upcoming hockey season. I wanna get cable, but it seems pretty damn expensive to me... and comcast has been a total whore to deal with in the past.

Anyway, the current promotion they have is $69 for digital cable and internet, then after 6 months it goes up to $99. I don't know if that includes DVR too, but I doubt it.

I currently pay qwest $45/mo for DSL only.

Comcast is having 19.99 + 100 gift card for Amazon for 6months, then 45 after that.
I think I am going to wait until the end of the month, get that, cancel after 6 months and suffer the last month or two with nothing.

yeah, that's the main concern :hs: I honestly don't think I'd watch much TV... but I can't get any Avs games without cable.

shit, son. That sounds pretty good. They do have a $99 cable/net/phone for a year special, but I have absolutely no use for a home phone. I think if the $69 promotion lasted for a year, I'd get it without hesitation, but 6 months go by pretty fast

 

It was cheaper for me to get the phone than not to get the phone, so I figured why the hell not.

 

We pay about $50 for limited basic cable + internet. This is with COX.
