Anyone working on a netbook computer?
Anyone here working on newer "Netbooks" that are starting to get popular.
Just ordered a Acer Aspire One and wanted to know if anyone had any input on them.
Specs:
Intel Atom processor
1g ram
160gb hd
Windows xp
8.9" screen
6 cell batt good for 4 hours
2.2 lb
I think its a pretty good deal for $400 shipped
No bluetooth but im gonna pick up an adapter to hook up a wireless mouse and keyboard and hook it up to my 42" in the living room for when i'm net surfing in the house.
edit:
Here's some eye candy.

I think Dells coming out with a mini Inspiron this week to compete in this niche. I was going to wait to see the official specs but all the rumors are saying its coming out with same specs as the acer but only 60gb hd for $100 more.

The only reason why I bought a Dell was because it was cheaper than almost everything on the market.
If the Dell mini Inspiron is MORE, I'd rather go Acer. Both not so great brands but I've had better experience with Acer's than Dell's.

White 160g version just popped up on Amazon... Here the link if anyone is interested.
160g in blue
I'm kinda happy i didn't impulse buy the 120g version that was a best buy 2 weeks ago. They only offered a 3 cell battery that kinda defeats the purpose since it limits its portability. Extra 40g and 6 cell for $50 more.

I just got an ACER 15.4" Extensa EX5620-4020. It's really starting to grow on me. Pretty decent computer for the price. 2gb ram/250gb harddrive, core duo processor. It is heavy though at a bit over 6 pounds.
