Based off a comic book/graphic novel and filmed that way. No attempt to hide the outlandishness of it and it makes it a fun movie to watch.

funny I was just discussing this movie over the weekend with a friend. We came to the same conclusion. I love the thing he stabs the guy with to take all the water out of his body
