like a time when money wasnt a reality, there wasnt the internet, no phones, no tv? where you grew what you ate and killed the meat you needed ... noone telling you go here dont go there and if you wanted to up and live somewhere else you just did without having to handle all the BS involved. where you didnt have to have a job even to live happily and survive on your own?

Sometimes I wonder how it would be to just be a farmer in the early days of the US. Taking care of cattle, hoping it rained enough for the crops and warding off the occasional indian attack. Oh, and not getting yellow fever. But that's about it.

 

I used to wish for those time, back in the age where there's kungfu (The Legend of Condor Hero) so I can learn them.

But then, no modern filtered water or toilet FTL.

money kicked in pretty fast during human civilizations / revolutions. living in a world that demands more from you where you challenge yourself to hit your goals is more fun than thinking about making fire or rolling from one place to another
