Someone got ahold of my credit card information...
No idea how, but they, while I was gone on my trip, charged up 3K worth of Fox Racing clothing, Zunes, online flower orders, and porn websites. I've opened up an inquiry into this, but son of a bitch, what a mess.
This was my backup CC that I hadn't used at all in Europe, so I wasn't checking it, and all they were doing was sending letters to my mom's house (which she, of course, didn't open).
This brings me back to my current question though: If the CC company is able to find a person or persons, can I sue them? I'm pissed off like hell.

I think the appropriate course would be for the CC company to pursue a fraud claim (which in multi-state commerce and e-commerce could be make it a federal jurisdiction).
If they found the alleged cc thief, in good faith, they'd have to reverse all fraudulent charges and release you of any liability.
I don't necessarily believe that you have a viable claim against the person directly, but then again, I haven't looked into case law at all.

I hope the fact that, you know, there's a dozen charges to CEBU Philipines airlines and 4 or 5 zunes being bought throughout a single day would help convince them that I didn't make those purchases.
