Default Software nerds: WMP11 dvd audio

Is there an audio codec I can find/use that will eliminate the InterVideo codec? Under options and advanced under the DVD tab the only selection available is "2 Speaker Mode" and under that I have selected "Dobly Surround Compatible" because I have a 5.1 speaker system.

The other options, mainly "6 speaker mode (5.1 channel)" is grayed out.

HELP!

You're playing DVD's, not DivX, right? is the media source encoded in 5.1?

if it's not, the option might not appear.

DVD yes. Media source? The integrated audio is capable of 6 channel output.

I'd reinstall the audio drivers again. I don't think it's the codec's fault.

This is what I'm talking about. It's using InterVideo (dvd playback software) and under that program's audio config it says "This version of WinDVD is licensed for two-channel audio only. For additional info on multi-channel audio visit www.intervideo.com" Website wants me to pay for some MP3-DVD package...

Here's the window in WMP:

Well I downloaded the trial version of WinDVD 9 (intervideo) and now it's there.
