Default Getting Audi fixed' . got a question

Is there such things as a defective axle?

Getting my clutch, LF axle and o2 sensors replaced.

Its at my brothers shop.
Drove the car around for like 15 minutes no problems whatsoever.
Went back to the shop, left like 2 hours later and as im driving off I start to hear a clicking noise.
I make a u-turn and clicking noise gets louder. Eventually make another u-turn to head back to the shop and car just doesnt go anywhere.
We push it half a block back to the shop and we can see when I engage first gear or reverse the inner CVjoint against the tranny housing spins but, it doesnt transfer the power to the wheel.

Can an axle joint just break like that? I'm just worried that when i pick up my car that this may happen again. ( Guess its just me being worried )

i'd say that it was either installed wrong or a really crappy part. Yeah, defects can happen.

wish you told me that when I got it

Labor is whats a bish on these cars.
Barely have room in the engine bay. Seems like everything needs to be accessed from the bottom.
So..................trying to find a shop with a lift low enough to jack up the car is even more of an adventure.

But, its fun to drive.
