How many cheerleaders does it take to
fill up an elevator and get it stuck???
A group of teenage girls attending a cheerleading camp had nothing to cheer about when they tried to squeeze 26 rah-rahs into an elevator and got stuck.
The girls, between 14 and 17, attempted to pack themselves in a residence hall elevator at the University of Texas before they got stuck and had to be rescued when the doors would not open.
The pack of cheerleaders had just descended from the fourth to the first floor when the doors got stuck. The girls panicked and called police from their cell phones.
One girl fainted and was treated at a hospital and released. Two others were treated at the scene. It took 25 minutes for an elevator repairman to extricate them.
