i think they do it to explore new design elements and decide what they like and what they don't. Its a lot different to actually be able to look at a car that they made than sketches etc.

They did a nice job of the front end and I like the hard tonneau cover for the top.
But the rear end need an ass lift and tail lights that do something for the form of the car.
