Do 'coons growl?
I was putting my dog out last night around 2 am, usually nothing eventful happens, but when I put her out I heard a low toned growl. I yelled at the dog to get inside and went out to look around but couldn't find anything. Whatever it was it must have been across the street in the woods.
It didn't sound like a "big dog" growl, so I'm wondering if it was a raccoon or something. There have been coyote/bear spottings in the past, but nothing recent.
I'm gonna start waiting on the porch while she's out with a flashlight in case I hear something again.. hmm.

Haha, when I lived with one of my friends last May our garbage cans got destroyed and the trash was all over the driveway, so I cleaned it up and told him we had a 'coon problem, and explained what happened. The look on his face was priceless when he finally figured out I meant raccoons and not black people..
:chuckles:
BTW, I'm not racist
