last night at a BBQ I met 2cops & 1 sargent. 1 is my brother in law and wow the things they were telling me.. I understand they don't get paid much but damn.

Must suck to live in the NYC then because officers over in CA, break the 6 figure point (well at least Sheriff's do) at the sergeant rank. Most officers in CA start at Mid-55k to 60k, that's a lot more than most people make.

yup i think they start at 25k then goes up to 33k then you realize shit i need a second job if I want to live without a roommate lol.
I know the Port Authority Police, LI cops or anyone out of nyc is making more money.

The signs all over the subways in NYC all say the starting wage for an nyc cop is like 35k.
