Maps have been around for years, asking for directions even longer. So if someone knows nearby where you live/work, I don't see it as all that different.

I'd say I'm neutral. Not more secure but not less either.

It's a little creepy that you can see in my window using street view. But it's nice to be able to see what place your going to looks like. I used it to find the hotel we were staying at in orlando "It's next to the big guy in the wizard hat" and it was, the gift shop next door.

Never really looked at it in those ways.

I'm apartment shopping and alot of the places i'm looking at is on street view. There were quite a few places i turned away from just because of what the street view showed me :nervous:

I heard about G-Maps.

I saw on myspace one of my friends got a comment from one of her other friends that said 'I google mapped your new apartment, and could practically see in your front window!'

So I google mapped my house, and I couldnt even zoom in. It got to a certain point (being zoomed in just so you could see an arial view that if you didnt know it was my house...you wouldnt know it was)..and it said that it couldnt zoom any further.

So how is it that some places I hear of people being able to see the house very clearly...drivers view as you say???

Whats the difference between one still image of your window or every car or person on foot driving by? What scenario has more potential to invade your privacy? Probably not that one still image.

I agree, people are paranoid. If you didnt realize it, you're video taped on a daily basis anyways...everytime you walk into that 7-11, that Home Depot, that bank...why dont people complain then?
