R.I.P. Matt you were a great friend and were always there for us when we needed you. It sucks that you got taken away from us. You will be surely missed by all. And I will make sure that your family gets the justice they deserve.

Kingston man killed in fatal crash ESOPUS — A 20-year-old Kingston man died Saturday night after he was allegedly rear-ended by a drunk driver while riding his motorcycle on Route 9W in the Town of Esopus.Matthew Spiconardi was pronounced dead at St. Francis Hospital in the Town of Poughkeepsie Saturday according to state police in Highland.Police said Spiconardi was traveling south on Route 9W, near the intersection of Old Post Road in Esopus, when he was rear-ended by a Honda Civic driven by Jeffrey Hey, 46, of Esopus.The collision caused Spiconardi to go off the west shoulder of the road. Hey was charged with felony counts of first-degree vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated. He was sent to Ulster County Jail without bail and is scheduled to appear in Esopus town court Monday.
