too many miles for a dealer trade in, best to private party
bay area has a handful of 08's for 20k
best bet is to list it for 19k and take what you can get unfortunately

Nobody is going to pay extra for tint and paint protection, fyi. Check the KBB value for private party, excellent condition. If it's more than you owe, then you're in good shape. If it's less than you owe, you're not going to be able to sell it and pay off the loan. I would never want to be paying off a loan for a car I no longer had.

sometimes you can roll the payoff loan into a used car loan, so it feels like you are just paying for your new dd instead of paying off your old "high end" car

Well I went to carmax to get a quote and they are offering $17,000 for my car...not bad but street is probably higher.

Roll the rest over to a new car loan = save money, than putting the rest on a CC after Private Party

Plus you gotta go through the hassle of title transfer

One of my ex's did that, something fierce. By the time her and I stopped talking she was basically paying for three cars on one loan. And still never owned a new car. Just new to her.
