nothing illegal about that

they are cops, they are exempt from this law since in fact they represent the emergency services the law is intended to support. if a cop is on duty and wants to go in and get a coffee then by all means park there, they need to be as close to their vehicle as possible if something were to happen cuz lord knows if they got a call and had to walk two blocks to their car people would bitch about taht

it's no different than if a cop pulls into a shopping center and parks in a no parking zone ... he's a cop, thats one of the perks

dudes a total asshole, hope he gets popped in the face

DOT ARE NOT COPS. NYC DOT ONLY GIVE OUT TICKETS AND when they are "directing traffic" they are just causing more traffic. if you drive daily on nyc you would know what I am talking about.
BTW you can sue a cop/city if they block a private driveway. so no cops can't park whenever they want.

completely different scenario, private property is still private property ... at least for now. and you cant sue them for blocking a driveway, you cant sue anyone just because they happen to block a driveway. not to mention a driveway is nothing related to a fire hydrant.

also doesnt matter if they are DOT or what, its a city marked vehicle and it says right on the side NYPD .... there's nothing illegal about it.

but arguing with you over actions of police is pointless, i've never seen someone bitch more than you and hate on cops more.

big deal...

cops speed all the time is somebody gonna post a video about that illegal activity? or even care? :dunno:

if the cop is selling drugs or raping 10 year old boys, then THAT would be an interesting video.

I'm going to say those are false statements.

They are not exempt for the law. The city actually has been issuing summons for incidents like this. It was in the local paper days ago.

They fall under the NYPD umbrella.

talk about the stupidest thing

but that also doesnt say if they were marked cars or simply personal vehicles with city permits

edit: yea the crackdown was on cars with "placards" nothing more than special level permits .... not marked duty cars, two totally different things
