Default Final Fantasy XIII Jumps to Xbox 360

http://blogs.pcworld.com/gameon/archives/007268.html
More out of the blue totally-didn't-see-that-one-comin' news from the sidelines at E3 this afternoon is that Square Enix's long-awaited Final Fantasy 13 will no longer be PlayStation 3 exclusive. Yep, you read that right, it's July 14th (not April 1st), and I'm fresh out of hyperbole: Xbox 360 fans are getting Final Fantasy XIII.
OUCH. There goes a huge piece of PS3 leverage.

Not much leverage, if you notice that it still is a Japan exclusive. I figured they didn't think it would be much of a system seller outside of Japan anyways because if you look traditionally JRPG's don't do that well outside of Japan. So might as well get it to as large an install base as you can with both the PS3 and 360. To be perfectly honest I'd rather it on PS3 though because I wouldn't have to deal with the problems people ran into with Lost Odyssey and the multiple discs + freezing problems.

Edit: Forgot to note that Final Fantasy XIII: Versus is a PS3 exclusive still.

There's (4) 360 packages available.

Arcade - $280 - No HDD, no wireless controler - DO NOT WANT

Premium 20GB - $299 (JUST PRICE DROPPED) - 20GB HDD, wireless controller - If purchased at Target this week, you get a $25 gift card. This is a discontinued model though. What's left on the shelves and in DC's is it.

Premium 60GB - $349 (NEW) - same as above but with a larger HDD.

Elite - $449 - 120GB HDD, wireless controller, black.

I still won't get a 360 though. I'll probably just end up borrowing a 360 for about 100 hours.

Says nothing about it being exclusive to 360, though. h:

Edit: That last bit can be read two ways.
The latest story coming out of Square Enix's press conference today is that the game will only see its way to Xbox 360s on U.S. shores, which makes a certain amount of sense when you consider Microsoft's failure to secure even half a beachhead in Japan. (It's also a surefire way to ensure that situation doesn't change.) Also: Final Fantasy Versus XIII, an action-RPG entree in Square Enix's polymorphous "Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy XIII Compilation," remains 100% PS3-exclusive.
Does that mean 360s in other countries won't get the option, or the only US version of the game is available on 360?

Drew your title is misleading, it's going multi-platform, both PS3 and 360 in the US and Europe.
