Coming back to the US.
I think the final nail in the coffin was when I walked into a gamestop with my friend today, and I saw Battlefield: Bad Company was released for the PS3. For the totally affordable price of 120 dollars US.

Seriously though, I kinda miss the US, having a home, and that sort of stuff.
Anyways, recommend to me a car, cause I'll have to buy one soon. One that's cheap and gas efficient. I'd be interested in a Fit, but the dealers in California are still taking people to the cleaners on them.
Or alternatives I'm open to as well. :rick: suggested I look at leasing a car, but that whole system confuses me, so yeah, advice car peeps?
(Though, I'll be here for at least another month, possibly 2, so I'm not leaving tomorrow. I just know where I'm ending up now. And the weather sucks here.)

You have a place set aside already? That's awesome... If you don't, you'll need to find a reservation NOW. I gotta say, while Oktoberfest would be awesome, I didn't like Munich all that much. Berlin and Hamburg >>> Munich in terms of things to do, culture, and people.
My brother went to Oktoberfest last year.

So, I have to ask: What's the advantage to that, as opposed to just buying some 8K car, having it be cheaper, not tied into a contract, and sell it off for 4-6K when I'm done with it?
You've met me dude. I'd make that thing look like a clown car every time I got in/out of it.

figure $200 a month on an $8k car + maintenance on a car that is probably 4+ years old. OR, the ease and comfort of a brand new car under warranty for the same monthly fee....also, the used car market sucks, so trying to resell might not be that easy. For $8k, you really run the risk of getting a car that will run into somebody else's problems
my friend was stationed over there for 4 1/2 years and still has some buddy's that are there and have a place so were staying there. doing 2 days in munich 2 days in amsterdam and 1 in london, were flying out of london.
