IMO the C class should have been sold to VW for the 2nd (or 3rd if you count the sirrocco) gen Corrado

and its true, the c230 and the 318ti are certainly the bastard children

 

I'm not a big fan of the ti. The 1.8 is a fine motor to supercharge though. =)

I'd much rather pick up an M3 right off the bat. That's just me though.

check, check, own a bike, dont ride it.... and i drive a jetta... that doesnt really earn me any man points but i do love the car....

 

I've seen them fully done up, drop, ///M body kit on some hre's and a full swap.. Nice when done up, but I dunno.. Just something about it doesn't jive with me.. I'm normally a sucker for anything hatchback (I had a gti, 2 sciroccos, a g60 corrado, FC rx7, 300zx, 2 integra coupes, and an expedition), but the ti never grew on me.

Cheaper insurance than an ///M, but also slower with shitty brakes/suspension/interior/ everything else. E36 ///M is a good bargain for what you get.but The Ti would get better gas mileage.
