Six Flags Darien Lake
So this weekend me and my friends are heading accross the border to buffalo, NY and hitting upDarien Lakes Amusement park :driving:
We will be leaving friday night and hopefully get some dinner in the niagra falls area. Does any body have any good dining locations in that area? doesnt really have to be there, could be anywhere near the canada/us border. Hopefully, it wont take us 5 hours to cross this time, fucking border guards.
for the night we will end up haggling a motel for the lowest possible price.. we spent like 15 bucks a person last time we came down.
head to the park at 8am and enjoy the rides early before the line ups... then the water park :naughty:..
Anyway... we have no idea what we should do after we are bored.. we are going to go shopping at some outlet malls on the sunday since the canadian dollar is awesome-tastic.
what should we do on sat night in the buffalo area?

i'm heading to the buffalo area tomorrow afternoon. going to spend a night at niagra falls thursday night and go out, then either chill around there or go to marine land / darien lake on friday.
saturday is the taste of buffalo, it's nuts. tons of food and people and booze. i'll be there during the day / evening, i don't know what i'm doing that night though. http://www.tasteofbuffalo.com/
edit: darien lake did just get that new occ ride, i want to try it.

ok so.. update
Left for the USA on friday evening, awesome drive border check was a breeze.
Went shopping at the General department stores, awesome deals, got joe boxer swimming trunks for 6.99!!!!
11pm we drive around to find a motel... after going to 3 over priced places we managed to find one with a decent rate ($50 a night.).. it was called "Bit-o-Paris"...
me and my gf walk into our room.. its FREEZING cold, the AC is on full blast and its halfway out of the wall, the cover is on the ground, and we can see all the wires and tubes
.. the bathroom had hot water but we were told we needed to let the hot water tap run for 10-15 minutes before it got hot.. lol.. hop in the shower there is graffiti on the ceiling and on the walls.. :rofl: "bit-o-black hole of calcutta" it says :rofl:.. the coversheets had urine stains that somebody tried to clean but failed.. the other bed was decent.. but who knows at this point, the tv was tinted so green it hurt my eyes... anyway, we got clean and got sleep.. and onto the theme park!
saturday we drive to the theme park no problem... great day was had by all last nights hole was forgotten.. but man oh man.. people in the US are fat and indecent.. (im talking 400lb women in 2piece bikin's).. i also saw some guy wearing a bullet-proof vest :eek5: ... saw my first lazer show.. we were done at 11pm (we were there at 9am.. 12+ hours ftw)..
we drive around to find a place to sleep.. EVERYTHING IS SOLD OUT, fking taste of buffalo is apparently 2nd largest food festival in USA
.. we were in 2 cars, a van and a corolla, we decided that 2 people will stay with the van (so we can get the 48 hours duty free 500$) and whoever wanted a shower/proper sleep will go accross the border to canada and find a motel there.. so 3am we drive back to canada.. and EVERYTHING IS SOLD OUT!!!.. wow.. we drive even longer and we finally find this seedy motel for 100$ bucks a night.. who cares we need shower and sleep.
we walk into our rooms and somebody left the back window open, and the lights on, and there were some motherfucking silence of the lambs moths (like 6 of them) in our room. we kung fu that shit with our shoes and shower and sleep.. till 11am sunday...
we go out to the car, and its broken into.. $4 dollars and an empty cd case gone... :ugh: we spend another 2 hours waiting for the cops (he shows up on a BICYCLE) he tells us that there are some crack addicts in the area and they just break into cars and steal the change.. ANYWAY..
we finally head back to the US for shopping, we wait like 2 hours at the border crossing, head to the outlets and we find absolutley no deals on any thing.. so we head back to good ol' canada and wait another 3-4 hours at the broder and i've been asleep from sunday 9pm till about 5 hours ago.. the end
short version:

I got on the motoCoaster too, it was so fun, but it ended so fast, 20-30 seconds... 0-35 in 3 seconds start was hella fun tho.
never got to enjoy the water park, but did get on some wet rides to cool down, it was hella humid .. the park imo was great .. its wierd how you can't get anything for less than 8 dollars there ..
