How in the hell does a sink that increases a home's aesthetics, resale value and appeal to some people have ANYTHING to do with 1. Grooming ones self or 2. having tendencies of a high-maintenance homosexual glamorized on television? :eh:

my friend is redoing a small house in a very "trendy" part of town & is thinking about doing those in both bathrooms. i told her that she should do the clear ones.....& i wondered outloud if they made clear tubs

They are called "vessel" sinks.

I like them depending on the overall placement and look of the room.

I also like "farmhouse" sinks and am thinking of one in my kitchen...not this particular design though.
