i agree... but it happens i used to work at the residentiel dept for BIG telco and people would call to get all this kind of shit done, most of them are stupid and think they are right so you can't argue and give them better solutions.

 

i had a DSL trouble the other day, where the guy cancelled his home phone service & ported the phone # over to comcast as a VoIP, but converted his DSL connection to a "dry" DSL....it has dialtone on the line, but it is unusable for incoming/outgoing calls

so let me get this straight.....you are keeping your internet connection thru at&t over a dry-line dsl, but have your home phone service w/ comcast on a VoIP setup?!?!?!??
