I'm not sure if anybody else is following this but over the last 5 days blizzard's sites (the makers of starcraft, warcraft, diablo) have been showing a splash image of ice "melting"

there has been a lot of speculation:
1. Some Warcraft Movie Announcement
2. Diablo 3 announcement.
3. Some crazy new MMO announcement.

It's sparked tonnes of conversation and argument and theories .. its exactly what blizzard marketing team probably wants.

i'm thinking diablo 3

blizzards been hinting for a long time that diablo would never go away ... its been a while since 2, they've talked about a 3 before in regards to continuing the franchise and already having some work done. and diablo had a big following

 

I'm thinking some massive crossover title spanning their franchise titles. You can see everything coming together.

Could not give a shit less. Diablo 2 wasn't that good. Starcraft was not that good. WoW is not that good.

I'm thinking its going to be Diablo 3 as well.. but it was the same at last years World Wide Invitational event.

The 2008 WWI is going to be this weekend. A big announcement can't be Warcraft or Starcraft related because of the fact that it wouldn't be "big". A diablo 3 or a new game announcement will be BIG.

I think you are all nuts- it's probably just a general teaser for the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational for everything thats going to be showcased. Like a frozen select screen that melts until the day it starts.
