Default Grilling Crew v.Grills

What kind of grill do you guys use? Charcoal or Gas?

A few weeks ago I make a couple steaks with charcoal. It took a long time and I didn't notice a difference in taste.
A couple weeks after that I made a couple on a propane grill. It heated up quickly, and turned out wonderful.

When I get done with school I want to get a propane grill with a smoker. I know someone that has one where you can adjust how much smoke you want and such and the brats I had on that were amazing.

What do you guys use?

depends

have the charcoal
have the gas

if it took a long time for the charcoal to get hot you were doing something wrong, i can cook on the charcoal just as easily as gas. i usually use the charcoal as a mobile griller since the gas grill is plumbed into the natural gas ... never run out ftw

got a smoker too but we dont need to smoke all that often

at home, i have propane. i used to use charcoal all the time and never really had a problem with. i do find propane easier though, mostly with clean up.

Taste the meat, not the heat.

step 1. light charcoal
step 2. prepare food

by the time you have the food ready to hit the grill the charcoal is ready

Used to do charcoal. I do mainly gas now. I've noticed some difference in taste but not enough to matter.

okay, maybe time isn't the right word.

it depends if i want to deal with getting out the grill and changing the charcoal and shit, or if i just want to turn a knob.
