Default Safely selling an item?

I'm selling some parts on the Evo forum and I have someone interested. The only catch is that they just joined for forum a few days ago, have 0 posts, and 0 feedback. They are offering me exactly what I asked for, which seems odd as I listed them high because I expected low ballers.

If I go through paypal, is there any way for them to try to screw me out of my money?

I'd have them get a cashiers check and let it clear before you ship anything.

You can also ask if they have feedback on other forums or ebay.

make them mail cash

i actually had a dude pay me in cash one time, it was for something cheap like 5 or 10 bucks. i just about choked when i opened the envelope.

it was kinda neat that a total stranger trusted me that much.

Just like lending good friends money, it's a test of character. Sometimes it takes forever to pay you back, but when they do return it with interest you realize that they have always had it on their mind and don't mind thanking you for the generosity and for helping them out in a pinch.

If they don't pay you back and fuck you over, then I guess you also know what kind of friend/person they are. :dunno:
